ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Analyze and develop pricing for complex LTL opportunities across multiple industry verticals.
- Utilize LTL pricing tools such as SMC3 BatchMark XL, carrier tariff databases, and other market intelligence platforms to develop competitive and profitable pricing solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Account Management teams to evaluate customer requirements and craft tailored pricing strategies.
- Conduct detailed lane-level and account-level cost analysis, including margin analysis and profitability forecasting.
- Monitor market trends, carrier pricing changes, and competitive intelligence to adjust pricing models and recommendations.
- Build and maintain pricing models in Excel, incorporating multiple variables and sensitivity scenarios to optimize decision-making.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses by developing pricing strategies that align with company goals and customer expectations.
- Partner with carrier relations and procurement teams to secure competitive carrier pricing and capacity.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on LTL pricing strategies, models, and tools.
- Prepare and present pricing analysis and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Job will require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Experience responding to large-scale RFP/RFQ pricing projects.
- Familiarity with freight procurement platforms and TMS systems.
- Experience working in a global 3PL environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in LTL pricing, logistics, or freight management, preferably within a 3PL environment.
- In-depth knowledge of LTL industry pricing structures, carrier tariffs, and rating methodologies.
- Proficient with LTL pricing platforms and tools, especially SMC3 BatchMark XL (required), and familiarity with other industry tools.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and modeling.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
