Position Overview: The Communities in Schools (CIS) Quality and Impact Coordinator provides statewide leadership in coordinating the agency's activities related to the Communities In Schools (CIS) program. This program enhances students’ academic performance and behavioral outcomes by integrating community and campus resources to support those most in need. In this role, the Quality and Impact Coordinator oversees CIS program data collection, analysis, and reporting.
As a member of the TEA CIS program team, this position will provide advanced consultative and technical assistance to CIS affiliates to support program development and ensure the effective implementation of the CIS Model. Additionally, the position contributes to creating quantitative and qualitative evaluation tools to assess program initiatives and the fidelity of established standards and practices.
This position reports to the Director of Counseling, Advising, and Student Supports, a team dedicated to empowering local education agencies to plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive student support services within a school counseling framework.

Essential Functions
Job duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned.
1. Data Oversight and System Support: Oversee all CIS affiliate data documentation, monitoring, and reporting activities within CIS-NAV; manage the CIS data verification processes; conduct data analysis and generate reports; provide technical support to CIS stakeholders. Use data expertise to contribute to CIS team project plans to support the CIS model's implementation fidelity.
2. Training and Professional Development: Provide professional development to CIS affiliate stakeholders using local, state, and national data; oversee the tiered support in aligning data and programming related to the CIS Model; develop and disseminate training resources and guidance documents to support affiliates in building a sustainable data informed culture.
3. Internal/ External Collaboration: Evaluate and enhance CIS-NAV capabilities; elicit stakeholder feedback and adjust the database according to the customer needs; analyze state and affiliate data trends observed in CIS-NAV and present the findings to relevant stakeholders; and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure TEA priorities are aligned.
4. External Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain meaningful and impactful relationships with external stakeholders, including CIS affiliate administration and CIS National staff. This includes planning, presenting, and facilitating meetings, convenings/conferences, and reporting outcomes.
5. Strategic Planning: Facilitate improvements in database navigation and the functionality of the CIS data system. The position will evaluate opportunities to align the roles and responsibilities of comprehensive school counseling programs with those of supportive program partners, particularly Communities In Schools. As an integral member of the TEA CIS team, this position will play a key role in planning, developing, and monitoring strategic projects and work plans to ensure high-fidelity implementation of the CIS Model.
