Job Title: Final Assembly Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Final Assembly Technician in the truck body division. You will be responsible for assembling truck bodies, wiring 12-volt systems, mounting truck bodies to truck chassis, and testing and inspecting assembled products. This role plays a critical part in the final stage of our production line, following the work of machine operators, welders, technicians, and painters.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble truck bodies and mount them onto truck chassis.
  • Wire 12-volt systems for the truck bodies.
  • Test and inspect the assembled products to ensure quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members at the final stage of the production line.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of industrial mechanical assembly experience.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including tape measures and drills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems such as PTOs, pumps, and compressors.
  • Experience with pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Certificate or courses in Automotive Technician/Mechanic.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean, well-lit environment where each assembler has their own station, collaborating with two other assemblers on truck bodies. The work schedule includes day shifts from 6am-3pm Monday to Thursday, and 6am-2pm on Friday. Afternoon shifts run from 3:00pm to 2:30am Monday through Thursday with a 1.5 premium.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MILTON, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
