Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a critical role in validating parts against Engineering drawings and our Quality Management system. Your responsibilities will include recording clear and accurate Non-Conformances, following standards and procedures to ensure a safe work environment, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and quality issue investigations. You will also seek opportunities to streamline and re-invent work processes, provide support to all Quality Departments, and assist in other Quality Inspection duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Validate parts against Engineering drawings and Quality Management system.
  • Record clear and accurate Non-Conformances.
  • Follow standards and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and quality issue investigations.
  • Seek opportunities to improve, streamline, and re-invent work processes.
  • Provide support to all Quality Departments when required.
  • Assist in other Quality Inspection tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and validate Engineering Drawings against Parts.
  • Record clear and accurate Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Experience using inspection measuring equipment, such as callipers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in QC manufacturing inspection.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive mechanical parts, including control arms, chassis, and ball joints.
  • Ability to lift items up to 20kg occasionally.

  • Engineering Degree
  • Ability to work overtime, specifically weekends.

Work Environment

As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be stationed in a warehouse, working closely with a team of four other inspectors. The environment is hands-on and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on precision, consistency, and teamwork. You'll report directly to the Quality Engineering Director, which means you'll have clear guidance and support from leadership while also being expected to take ownership of your inspection responsibilities. The warehouse setting is structured yet dynamic—expect to be on your feet, moving between inspection stations, and engaging with both physical components and digital reporting tools. The team culture is focused on continuous improvement, with inspectors playing a key role in identifying defects, verifying compliance with specifications, and contributing to process enhancements. Given the contract nature of the role, there’s also a strong focus on performance, adaptability, and communication, especially when collaborating with permanent staff and cross-functional teams.

This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
