We're seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to drive complex, cross-functional technical programs at AWS. This role requires someone who can combine technical depth, program management expertise, and strategic thinking to deliver large-scale initiatives that impact millions of AWS customers.

In this role, you will serve as a key member of our Applied AI Solutions, Core Services - Program Management team. As a Senior TPM, you will be a key leader in shaping and delivering most strategic initiatives. You'll work directly with leadership, product managers, engineering and other stakeholders to transform business and product vision into executable technical programs, while managing multiple high-impact projects simultaneously. This role demands someone who can dive deep into technical details while maintaining a broader strategic perspective, and who can influence without authority across organizational boundaries.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multi-team technical programs across the organization
  • Drive technical architecture discussions and make strategic decisions that balance business requirements with technical constraints
  • Develop detailed project plans, identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and manage scope
  • Partner with engineering teams to define technical requirements and ensure successful delivery
  • Provide regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Strong technical background with hands-on software development experience
  • Track record of delivering large-scale distributed systems and cloud services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with AWS services and cloud computing
  • Background in distributed systems, networking, or infrastructure
  • PMP or similar program management certification
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Strong data analysis and business intelligence skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
