Robotic Welding Operator -- Weekly Pay -- 1st and 2nd Shift

The Robotic Welding Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of all robotically automated welding cells. This role is crucial in leveling the workload in the welding department to minimize and ultimately eliminate the need for overtime. Operators are responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all automated cells. Although initially small, this team has the potential to grow based on workload and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a robotic welder with proficiency.
  • Set up new jobs on all cells efficiently.
  • Ensure efficient production operation and meet proven job rates.
  • Troubleshoot faults experienced during automated production.
  • Perform part inspections and quarantine non-conforming parts with appropriate labeling.
  • Accurately record job progress data both handwritten and through the ERP system.
  • Recognize and spot-check weld defects and halt production if parts are incorrectly made.
  • Opportunity to learn and develop hand welding skills for interested and promising candidates.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in welding, production welding, and machine operation.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding and working with robotics.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a production, manufacturing, or machine operation environment.
  • Minimum tenure of 6 months in the most recent position with consistent job tenure of 1 year or more in industrial/production roles.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
