General Summary

Responsible for assuring accurate and consistent setup/history and controls from project startup to closeout. This will include conformance with established policies, procedures, & standards to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout the region.

  • Administer job master (via the Cost Accounting Portal Database), from project startup to closeout, to maintain accurate job history and reports.
  • Project Setup (Heavy Bid)
    • Conform estimates for the Region in accordance with project control and regional requirements.
    • Maintain project cost codes in adherence with established standard cost code structures to facilitate proper tracking of project expenses.
  • Projects Document Control (Autodesk Construction Cloud)
    • Training regional employees in Autodesk and coordinating consistent setting up of new jobs in Autodesk.
  • Project Cost Controls (HeavyJob/e1)
    • Facilitating consistency in use of Heavy Job/e1 in region
    • Importing forecasts from e1 as needed; exporting HeavyBid note/advanced budgets to HeavyJob.
    • Analyze and enter project budgets, budget and contract change orders, and project forecasts to ensure accuracy and conformance to established project requirements.
    • Communicating any updates to HeavyJob within region
    • Collect critical job performance data (e.g., expended labor hours, installed asphalt volume, subcontract work installed, etc.) and track against budgeted metrics to enable early discovery of potential project losses.
    • Assist with creation of Budget Maintenance Request form (cost code creation/maintenance, BCO’s and CCO’s)
    • Provide support for monthly and quarterly forecasting to ensure accuracy of quarterly financial forecasting.
  • Project Schedules
    • Prepare or assist in the preparation of the CPM (Critical Path Method) baseline schedule.
    • Prepare and assist in the preparation of CPM Schedule Monthly Updates and Narratives
    • Prepare and assist with CP Schedule Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
  • Integrate cost and schedule data and reporting with the company’s accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company’s performance and financial goals.
  • Support Project Management with tracking all changes, or potential changes, to the project scope to provide Project Management (and the Client) visibility subsequent cost and schedule changes.
  • Ensure consistent tracking of all processes on projects is in accordance with Construction Playbook and Granite Management Systems as required.
  • Administer Project Cash Flow, Cost Summary and Key Performance Indicators reports to distribute to Project Managers and regional management.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
  • Completion of Foundations and Job Cost Training Series

Work Experience

  • 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.

Base Salary Range:

$85,602.00 - $128,403.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
