Job Title: General Production Worker-2nd Shift

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will follow work instructions to operate various machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps for customers. You will learn to gauge products as required, move materials and parts within the cell work area, and replenish stock. Additionally, you will maintain production, quality, and equipment documentation, understand quality alerts, and report issues to the team lead. Daily tasks will also include repairing defective or rejected production parts and analyzing defects to assist with corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines and testing equipment to build and assemble quality pumps.
  • Learn how to gauge products as required.
  • Move materials and parts within the cell work area and replenish stock.
  • Maintain production, quality, and equipment documentation.
  • Understand quality alerts and report issues to the team lead.
  • Repair defective or rejected production parts daily.
  • Analyze defects and assist with corrective actions.

Essential Skills

  • Manufacturing background with at least 2 years of experience in a production worker, operator, or assembler position.
  • Good tenure at each position.
  • Assembly experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Gauge experience is a nice to have.

Work Environment

The plant is moving into Warren from Oklahoma and collaborates with major automotive companies including Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. This global automotive supplier is opening a new technical center and manufacturing facility to support customers with new products for efficient hybrid and electrified powertrains. You will be part of a motivated team in a renovated facility equipped with new electrical systems, CNC machinist lines, conveyors, carousel assembly equipment, and robotic weld cells. The shift hours are 3-11:30 PM and 11:30 PM - 7 AM, with a requirement to work 7 days a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
