Summary
Responsible for setup on multiple 4Slide machines and producing quality spring parts.
Essential Job Function:
- Setup and operate 4Slide machines per job specification and blueprint to produce spring parts and meet production needs per quality standards.
- Based on job orders, installs necessary tooling, and sets correct speed and feed rates.
- Perform quality checks on parts using comparators, micrometers, calipers and other inspection instruments.
- Uses technical and mechanical skills this individual monitors, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs machine problems.
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance to machines.
- Maintains work area neat and orderly.
- Observes all safety rules and policies.
- Perform other related duties and activities as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, job orders and interpret part specifications, as well as GD&T.
- Ability to use inspection equipment such as comparators, micrometers, calipers and scales.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Safety-first mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer for entering data.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work overtime when required to meet customer demand.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in 4Slide Setup
- Journeyperson preferred.
