Admissions Student Services Representative – BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Part-Time, Student Employee)

Job Description

Student Services Representatives are responsible for providing excellent support to BYU-Pathway Worldwide students. They can work between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and we are flexible for staffing needs, within these times.

Work Schedule: This position is remote. Remote positions are available for applicants located in Utah or Idaho only. Employees are scheduled for specific shifts in coordination with employee availability and staffing needs.

Additional hours may be available and needed during peak service times, such as the beginning of new semesters. Student Service Representatives may sometimes work up to 40 hours based on the employer’s discretion.

To do the work, the following are required for an at-home setup

  • A quiet workplace
  • Laptop or computer with a private at-home setup (no Chrome Books)
  • 1024x768 (SVGA) screen
  • 4 GB of ram
  • Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are recommended browsers
  • Internet Bandwidth
  • Minimum: 500 KBps upload speed; 1 MBps download speed (4 Mbps upload; 8 Mbps download)
  • Recommended: 1 MBps upload speed; 2 MBps download speed (8 Mbps upload; 16 Mbps download)

Disclaimer: Currently, most employees are working remotely and expected to work 15-20 hours per week during core department hours which are Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. This position is temporal and may end at any time.

Responsibilities

Specialized Projects:

  • Student Services Representatives at BYU-Pathway Worldwide assist in the various functions of the Admissions Office. This is accomplished through tracking applications and other confidential student information. With all these positions, employees are responsible for protecting current and former student’s records according to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. The ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial.

Policy Review:

  • Student Service Representatives will stay abreast with policy changes as indicated in the knowledge base. In a rapidly changing environment, they must remain current on standard procedures. Employees will be regularly evaluated on performance and how well they follow policies and procedures.

Administration:

  • Student Service Representatives will participate in special projects and various administrative duties.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent or current enrollment in PathwayConnect

Current CES Student at one of the following institutions and must be living in Utah or Idaho:

  • Ensign College
  • BYU-Pathway Worldwide
  • BYU
  • BYU-Idaho
  • BYU-Hawaii (Living in Utah or Idaho)
  • Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must currently be enrolled at Ensign College
