Welder

Sand and grind welds as needed to meet appropriate quality and production standards

Self-sufficient on start-up and shutdown equipment procedures

Select appropriate weld setting to obtain a quality weld

Cut and fabricate parts from raw stock material

Assemble and weld components for products

Use measuring tape and other tools

Operate all necessary equipment to assemble and weld components

Perform quality checks of parts as needed including effective use of calipers, micrometers, and functional gauges

Work with other employees to complete assemblies on multiple person operations

Check welds for strength

Conduct welding equipment maintenance and repairs as needed

Always follow strict safety guidelines and protocols

Collaborate with team members to ensure project success and timely completion

Check and inspect all parts

Move finished assemblies to appropriate area

Job Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Basic mechanical abilities

Basic mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

Organizational and communication skills

Desire to learn new skills and improve knowledge

Strong orientation toward:

Safety, quality, and continuous improvement demonstrated by a work history of safe performance, accuracy and attention to detail in the work performed, constructive problem solving and suggestions for improvement, ability to effectively implement or respond to change, punctuality and consistent work attendance

Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures, including those related to Safety
