Director of "Antigone," the first student production for Clemson Players of FY2025-2026. Design concept of production, lead casting, holding daily rehearsals (may include weekends), be present at technical rehearsals, and attend production meetings. Other duties as assigned based on the production.
70% - Essential - Direct the play Antigone (this includes leading rehearsals): This will require leading daily rehearsals to lead the vision for the cast and crew to follow. Oversee all aspects of the production from the initial concept to the final performance. Responsible for developing and implementing the artistic vision for the play, working with actors, designers, and stage crew to bring the script to life.
10% - Essential - Casting: Attend student auditions and lead the process of selecting actors to play the various roles in a play.
10% - Essential - Attend Production Meetings: Attend the regularly scheduled meetings of the entire production team, director, designers, stage managers, and technical crew - to discuss all aspects of the play's development, from creative vision to technical execution.
10% - Essential - Attend Technical Rehearsals: Work out any technical issues with the entire production team to ensure everything runs smoothly. Focus on integrating the technical elements of the show including lighting, sound, set changes, and special effects, with the performance.
Education - A high school diploma or equivalent and experience or additional education in production of radio or television programs
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Acting

Expected Hourly Rate: ($23.33)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
