As an Integration Engineer Trainee, you will join the international team responsible for Euronext Securities’ messaging integration platform, the Common Message Hub (CMH). This platform processes millions of transactions daily, supports entities across Europe, and handles both international and proprietary messaging formats.

Based in Porto, you will collaborate closely with team members in Denmark, Norway and Poland. You will contribute to the evolution, scalability, and robustness of this mission-critical system, gaining hands-on experience in integration development, platform innovation, and operational support.

Key accountabilities:

Platform Optimization and Innovation

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the CMH platform, enhancing automation, functionality, and stability
  • Support the delivery of innovative solutions to increase performance and scalability

Integration and Development

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining messaging integrations using technologies such as OpenShift, ActiveMQ, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Java, and React
  • Collaborate on integration projects that connect systems and ensure seamless data flow across platforms

Operational Support

  • Work alongside senior engineers to support the Operations team in diagnosing and resolving production issues
  • Help deliver robust and cost-effective messaging integration solutions to internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile:

  • Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship
  • Internship or academic experience with software development or system integration is a plus
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following technologies: OpenShift, ActiveMQ, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Java, React, IBM MQ, SWIFT, Incentage
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and CI/CD practices in a DevOps context
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Good communication and documentation abilities
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional, and international team
  • Organized, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
