Chaplain – Woodland Springs

About Us

Woodland Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in Conroe, Texas. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. Our programs offer caring, compassionate treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Services include Inpatient Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).

Job Summary

The Chaplain is responsible for providing pastoral/spiritual guidance and counseling to patients and their families while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This role is central to fostering emotional and spiritual healing within a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual support tailored to diverse religious beliefs and practices
• Lead prayers, offer counseling, and answer spiritual questions
• Maintain confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA
• Act as liaison between hospital and community faith resources
• Keep records of spiritual services and contribute to department communications
• Develop and co-author educational spiritual materials
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a clergy or chaplain; mental health setting preferred
• License: Valid driver’s license
• Certifications: CPR and CPI within 30 days of hire
