Summary:

Responsible for supporting EPIC ASAP modules across Emergency Department settings, including configuration and optimization of clinical and operational workflows. Specializes in building and maintaining user profiles, arrival and registration processes, charging and interface components, disaster workflows, discharge documentation, physician and end-user documentation, order sets, patient movement, psychiatric and behavioral health workflows, and Rover mobile functionality. Duties include identifying, evaluating, and recommending enhancements to existing systems, providing ongoing production maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure system integrity and performance. Plays a key role in the design, development, configuration, testing, and documentation of supported systems. Collaborates with clinical and operational stakeholders to align system capabilities with user needs. Contributes to training design and execution, offers go-live and post-implementation support, and serves as a primary point of contact for ongoing production support. Participates in the after-hours/on-call support rotation. Leads or manages medium to large-scale projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation: Responsibility for evaluating project requests associated with field of expertise and/or systems supported, conducting current state assessments, requirements gathering and definition, future state design and application build activities. Responsible for leading implementation teams in planning, design, development, testing (unit, application and integrated), and deployment of projects, as well as contributing to development of associated training curriculum/program, post implementation documentation and production support services.
  • Project Management: Prepare detailed project plans. Lead Application Team in adhering to project schedules and timelines and completing projects on time and within budget. Identify and escalate issues to appropriate sponsor group, steering committee or other governing body to ensure successful implementation (on time, on budget and within scope). Responsible for facilitating change request process in relation to assigned projects.
  • Maintenance, Support and Troubleshooting: Monitor, acknowledge and resolve ServiceNow tickets as assigned. Coordinate software and hardware patches, service packs, and version upgrades with customer departments and System Administrator(s). Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures.
  • Administrative: Log hours for project-related work in the Project Portfolio Management (ServiceNow) system on a weekly basis. Utilize ALM Quality Center system for creating test cases and scripts, monitoring testing execution and providing documentation as required for production change control approval.
  • Production Support and Maintenance: On call support (support calendar defined by Group or application suite, pager required); Ensuring the integrity, integration and stability of production system; Formulating system scope and objectives to develop or modify complex system designs; Daily checklist for servers, services, log files, backups, scheduled SQL jobs, scheduled tasks, CPU usage, monitor space, transaction logs etc.

How You’ll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 years of work-related experience - required
  • Project management experience - required
  • Direct experience related to same or similar systems installed at Children's - required

EDUCATION

  • Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - required
  • Enterprise App Analysts supporting software must demonstrate competency in software used in their role. All training and testing applicable to the role must be successfully completed and passed within 90 days of employment. Continuing education requirements must be completed and maintained for applications applicable to the role - required
  • If an internal candidate, 4 years of direct application experience overrides the need for a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - required

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • EPIC ASAP Certification - preferred
