The Hanger Head Up Machine Operator will serve our Water Heater Division, located in Montgomery, AL.
- Must load and operate automated ear welding machine and head insert machine.
- Must be able to load tank shells on/off conveyor.
- Must be able to ensure proper operation of flare machine.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
- Work from written or verbal orders.
- Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Observe all departmental safety requirements.
- Maintain quality standards according to specifications.
- Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
- Tasks directed by Lead/Direct Supervision.
- Indirect Supervision by Departmental Superintendent.
- May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- External candidates must possess a minimum of 1 year of manufacturing/warehousing experience.
- Internal candidates must possess good communications skills.
- Candidate must have held their current job for a minimum of 6 months prior to bidding on this role.
- Candidate must not currently be on any probationary period/performance improvement plan or have had a Written Warning or higher for 1 year.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.

- Candidate must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Candidate must be able to perform consistently within the physical requirements of the role.
- Continuous lifting of 0-24 lbs
- Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs
- Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
- Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
- Must be able to perform lifting and insertion processes at fast pace.
- PPE required: Gloves, Safety Glasses, Approved Footwear, Earplugs, Clothing Protection
