Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Development Manager to join Advancement Office, International and Business Development, Chancellery Division.

As a member of the Advancement Office, the Development Manager plays a key role in working closely with the senior leadership of the faculty and key academics to source philanthropic opportunities from individuals, corporates, and trusts and foundations. The role will focus on building a pipeline of new prospects and opportunities including bequest opportunities to build sustainable and meaningful partnerships that create shared value. The position reports to the Director, Development for career planning, development, and performance expectations

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in fundraising, business development or similar.
  2. Proven ability to take initiative and develop new business relationships that drive and deliver desired outcomes.
  3. Demonstrated track record in relationship management and business development.
  4. Highly developed communication skills including the ability to write effectively and persuasively for a wide range of audiences.
  5. Highly developed interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work collegially and effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and represent QUT to these stakeholders.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment as part of a high performing team.
