CAD & Robotics Technician

Pay: $18-$25/hour, DOE | Full-Time | On-Site

Schedule: 8am to 430pm Monday - Friday

We're seeking a CAD & Robotics Technician to support our digital design and production processes. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who’s tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and excited to work at the intersection of healthcare and advanced manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain robotic machinery and automated systems used in the design and fabrication of orthotic and prosthetic devices
  • Use CAD software to modify and prepare digital models for patient-specific devices
  • Support the digital workflow by processing scan files, adjusting 3D models, and prepping files for robotic carving or printing
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to CAD, robotics, and peripheral equipment
  • Collaborate with clinicians and fabrication technicians to ensure accurate, functional outcomes
  • Monitor production runs and verify quality and consistency of outputs
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, updates, and calibrations
  • Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the CAD/robotic production process

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Meshmixer, or similar)
  • Comfortable working with robotic systems, CNC machines, or 3D printers
  • Strong computer skills beyond basic MS Office/Google Suite (e.g., 3D modeling, file conversion, scan data processing)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications or digital models
  • Familiarity with orthotic/prosthetic design is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
