Purpose and Scope:
As a Platform Engineer of a team of individuals in a specific area of digital expertise, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution are about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating
collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific expertise area. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.
An Enterprise Business Platforms Engineer focuses on the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the specific platforms that drive business functions such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force, VeeVa), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning such as SAP ), and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Clinical, Patient Safefy, Quality Management Solutions. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to support business goals, enhance efficiency, and drive growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP objects (Reports, Enhancements, Forms, Interfaces, Workflows, OData services).
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems (e.g., integrating CRM and ERP systems) to enhance data flow and business processes.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.ABAP and Integration Developer is responsible for the gathering of SAP requirements and specifications, analyzing, designing, documenting, coding, testing, configuring, deploying, implementing, and maintaining systems and applications
- Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Design and implement integrations between SAP and external/non-SAP systems using SAP Integration Suite (CPI), PI/PO, APIs, and web services.
- Create and consume OData services for SAP Fiori applications and third-party integrations.
- Develop solutions following SAP best practices, clean core concepts, and modern ABAP programming paradigms (ABAP RESTful Programming Model, CDS views, AMDP, RAP).
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to SAP applications and integrations.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and documentation of developed solutions.
- Support system upgrades, patching, migrations, and system performance optimization.
- Stay updated with SAP technologies like SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA extensions, and event-driven architectures
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or STEM degree.
- 5+ years of SAP ABAP and 2+years Integration PI/PO/CPI Integration development experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration technologies (SAP Integration Suite/BTP, CPI, PI/PO, IDocs, RFC, Web Services, APIs).
- Experience with Web technologies (XML, XSLT, REST, HTTP, HTTPS, Web Services , AS2 and Certificate )
- Experience with modern ABAP (OO ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, RAP, BOPF).
- Solid understanding of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, CO, or HR (depending on project needs).
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA development and migration projects
- Knowledge of authentication and security standards (OAuth2, SAML, SAP Cloud Connector).
- Ability to work in agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban).
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and communication abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with SAP Event Mesh, APIs on SAP API Management.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 development basics.
- Experience in developing in UI5/Fiori, Gateway, and OData technologies , IDocs , Proxies & Webservices
- Strong experience in Workflow , Flexible Workflows
- Exposure to SAP BTP services (Workflow, Business Rules, CAP, Kyma/Kubernetes).
- SAP ABAP certification or SAP Integration Suite certification.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools.
