POSITION DETAILS

The Registrar's Office at Queens College is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Coordinator to join our team. This coordinator-level position reports directly to the Enrollment Registrar Specialist and plays a key role in supporting the office's mission to manage student records, course registrations, and academic policies effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced, student-centered environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the academic administrative functions of the college while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support DegreeWorks Supervisor and assist with critical tasks, such as scribing, waivers, exceptions, reporting, and system testing
  • Support the Data Integrity Unit with timely communication to students regarding records issues or important alerts. Proactive communication at these crucial points helps students stay on track toward registration, graduation, and overall academic success. This includes communication related to Waitlist, PERC process, ePermits, diploma orders included for name changes, Major 60 project etc.
  • Assist in processing emails using the student ticketing system (Freshdesk)
  • Help with processing of ePermits requests, transcripts, National Student Clearinghouse error processing as needed
  • Merge duplicate records or career numbers in CUNYfirst.
  • Purge student records or employee records in HCM.
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Registrar or Associate Registrar.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

PREFFERED QUALIFICTICATIONS

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing quality student service at a diverse college is expected.
  • Knowledge of CUNYfirst/PeopleSoft is desirable.
  • Experience with a service desk model, such as FreshDesk, for communications.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills

  • Provides advice on academic and administrative registration requirements
  • Interprets and communicates academic, registration and enrollment policies and procedures
  • Assists with registration and provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records-related areas
  • Complies, generates, and updates various reports, catalogs, and inventories
  • Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Collaborates with College and University offices to address inquires and concerns and resolve student registration and record problems
  • May participate in activities related to course scheduling and maintaining course databases
  • May monitor and revise the content of web pages and other communication materials
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with education and experience $44,411- $47,861
