Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a startup environment that manufactures custom oligonucleotides for industrial and academic research facilities. As a lab technician, you will support production and quality control processes, contributing to the synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, desalting, and final packaging formulation of oligos.

Responsibilities

  • Support production and quality control of oligonucleotides.
  • Participate in synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, desalting, and final packaging formulation processes.
  • Ensure laboratory safety and maintain cleanliness in a cleanroom environment.
  • Prepare samples and perform quality control checks.
  • Utilize custom software and technology effectively.
  • Work collaboratively within a tight-knit team, maintaining professionalism while fostering a fun atmosphere.

Essential Skills

  • Basic laboratory skills and lab safety knowledge.
  • Background in life sciences, chemistry, or biology.
  • Experience in sample preparation and quality control.
  • Comfortable working with custom software and technology.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • AS/BS degree in a life science field.
  • Ability to be flexible and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a startup environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a growing startup atmosphere with multiple sites within the network. The site is smaller and expected to grow, focusing on supplying oligonucleotides for research purposes related to infectious diseases. The team values a family-like atmosphere and enjoys lighthearted interactions, ensuring a balance between professionalism and fun. The position is part of the Synthesis group with shifts available either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, from 12 PM to 10:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
