Required Degree: BA or BFA.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
2+ years theatre drafting, scenic technology, and scenic design. 1+ years university-teaching experience in one or more theatre design and technology disciplines (scenic, lighting, costumes, sound, makeup, and/ or media design) preferred. We also are interested in reviewing applications from candidates who have accomplished notable teaching outside of university settings.
Duties/Expectations: Teach the following classes: TMA 266 Principles of Stage Craft, TMA 258 Theatre Drafting (Fall Semester MW 9:00-10:50 am), TMA 363 Scenic Design. Mentor student designers through the theatre design process on theatre season productions as needed. This will require meetings at 8:00 am weekdays, and evening and weekend rehearsals. Design for theatre season productions as needed. Perform some administrative duties related to the set area as needed.
