Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.

KLA's eBeam Division is looking for passionate software developers to join us and help define and deliver high quality solutions for our current generation and next generation products in our Wafer Inspection and Review product lines. We work on exciting problems that fuel the next gen technological advancements in the world! You will be responsible to build software solutions for our products which would have a direct impact on the semi-conductor manufacturing leading up to a better quality of life for all.

You will fit right in if you have a good understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science. Are you somebody who enjoys working on complex software, are very keen on understanding customer use cases and enjoys, understands the big picture? You will work with exceptional talent from across multiple global regions and functional groups such as systems/hardware engineering, SMEs, manufacturing.

You will have the opportunity to learn, contribute and collaborate in developing end-to-end software from requirements to delivery. You should be somebody who feels strongly about writing high performing code and would be keen on learning and applying clean coding practices. Having a keen interest and ability to analyze problems and tackle them would be critical in this role.

  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented software analysis and design, Microsoft C# .Net or C++ programming would also be important.
  • Be responsible for the analysis of current software systems for performance, throughput, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems and developing solutions that address these issues.
  • Be responsible for developing prototypes and working on solutions for new concepts.
  • Implement software in accordance with functional use cases ensuring high performance and optimized hardware interactions.
  • Incorporate sophisticated software algorithms for resource intensive software requirements to optimize and enhance performance of the system. Good software documentation skills are required.
  • Be willing to learn new design principles, technologies and business use-cases is essential.

Master's with at least 2 years or bachelor's in computer sciences or related fields with at least 4 years of experience is required.
