Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in system architecture, software engineering or AI/ML development.
  • 1 year of experience in developing large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Experience in project management, cross-functional collaboration and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning and related frameworks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • Experience in working with Machine Learning (ML)/Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy, features and roadmaps for Docs AI, ensuring high standards of technical excellence and quality, owning end-to-end features including ML modeling, infrastructure, client and front-end.
  • Identify key areas for investment and build execution paths to bring them to market, while leading technical decisions and resolving trade-offs within the team.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to foster their growth, create strategies for managing performance and cultivate a positive team environment.
  • Build relationships with peers across teams (Workspace and Google Deepmind) to develop joint roadmaps, manage dependencies and influence shared objectives.
  • Enable senior executives to make informed organizational prioritization decisions by outlining trade-offs and navigating engaging demands for infrastructure work.
