The Role
Assume a strategic role at Lloyd’s as Investor Relations & Ratings Manager, where you will play a central part in shaping our financial narrative. This role offers the opportunity to lead engagement with our four rating agencies and the broader investor community, help shape key market insights, and work closely with senior leadership to enhance and protect Lloyd’s global reputation.
Principal Accountabilities
Key stakeholder relationship building and maintenance
- Rating agencies: ensuring a consistent point of contact for questions or concerns; building trust and reliability through consistent and regular communication, including setting up and organising internal ad-hoc teach-ins where appropriate. Early communication of news such as changes to the organisation or financial results.
- Investors/ Equity analyst community: Monitoring and responding in a timely manner to enquiries received through the IR inbox. Building relationships with the equity analyst community, invitations to roadshows and conferences, off record consultations on market sentiment etc.
Rating agencies
- Biannual rating agency management meetings: advanced organisation of the meetings and logistics. Preparation of the pack collaborating with key operational teams, ensuring that specific concerns are addressed, and overseeing key messaging.
- Organisation of the agendas and ensuring the smooth running of the day, adjusting the flow on the day where required; writing notes, pulling out key themes of interest from each of the rating agencies and distributing follow up materials/ supplementary materials where necessary.
- Reviewing all materials rating agencies want to publish on Lloyd’s to ensure factual accuracy, coordinating with other teams where appropriate.
- Working seamlessly alongside the Central Finance team, particularly the Corporate Finance Manager, who provides the necessary financial information and rating agency models that support the ratings discussions.
- Participation in/ Contribution to the “Crisis Response Steering Group” (CRSG) and the “Macroeconomic Task Force” (MAG), cross departmental groups within Lloyd’s, ensuring that key summaries and notes are distributed to the Chief Accountant and CFO, and timely communication, where appropriate, with the rating agencies.
Market and industry trend and performance analysis
- Quarterly monitoring and reporting of peer results to CFO via a quick access early morning email and a full summary of financial results for comparison purposes. Morning email includes significant AOB including strategic announcements, CAT estimates, etc. The financial summary is included in the Exco and Council packs where requested.
- Quarterly monitoring also includes a review of peer analyst calls where any significant themes or matters of interest can be flagged.
Investor Relations
- Lead on analyst deck, and script writing for Full year and Half year results, ownership of the internal Employee Check-In deck, and working alongside Communications to build the trading statement.
