Position Overview
Join our dynamic Corporate Systems IT team at Insulet. We are looking for a motivated Senior Basis and Security Administrator to help us manage and maintain our SAP landscape. This position provides support for our broad portfolio of SAP platforms, technologies, and applications. Our highly collaborative environment provides the opportunity to solve interesting problems, continually improve technical skills, and have a meaningful role in supporting our mission to simply life for people with diabetes.
Responsibilities
- Managing the transport of changes (e.g., configuration settings, program developments) between different SAP systems using the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Manage and maintain SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
- Plan, coordinate, and execute data refreshes to ensure data consistency and availability across all SAP environments.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services using SPA Solution Manager.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep SAP systems up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve authentication, performance, hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with senior administrators and other IT staff to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Certificate management for business applications.
- Manage the activation and troubleshooting of S4 services to support integrations between systems.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls for SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Integrated Business Planning environments.
- Manage user roles and authorizations across SAP platforms, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Configure and maintain security settings for SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Integrated Business Planning, ensuring secure data access and reporting capabilities.
- Support patch and upgrade related activities
Required Skills and Competencies
- Five years of BASIS administration experience preferred
- Proficient in SAP security concepts, role-based access control, and security tools. Preferred
- Experience with SAP GRC modules, including Access Control and Process Control, is essential. Preferred
- Experiencing working in an SAP RISE environment.
- Ability to manage and support audit activities for SOX controls.
- Ability to monitor business applications and remediate errors and performance issues.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Driven to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Experience administering business applications including users, permissions, and configuration.
- Experience with various SAP public cloud platforms and applications (Analytics Cloud, Integrated Business Planning, Jewel, Business Technology Platform, Build, Cloud Integration Services, Identity management, etc.)
- Understanding of virtualization technologies, preferably Azure.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred
- Relevant SAP and SOX certifications are a plus.
Additional Information
- The position is located at our Guadalajara, MX office.
- Less than 15% of travel is estimated but will flex depending on business need.
