The Software Architect (Mobile – iOS/Android React Native) Role

We're seeking an innovative Senior Mobile Software Architect with a passion for designing cutting-edge solutions. You'll lead the architecture of high-performing mobile applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay ahead of industry trends.

You will join the GeoAnalytics & Mobile team which develops state of the art visualizations, geographic features and analytics capabilities in Qlik Sense and the native Mobile application (Qlik Sense SaaS). We work in a SaaS environment with a micro-service architecture, using primarily JavaScript, React, React Native and TypeScript.

• You will develop proof-of-concept projects to validate new architecture

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

You will take a big role in our current Mobile application where you have will have a big impact and on a lot of responsibility and influence of it’s future, We take pride in driving and nurturing an inner source development philosophy, sharing our work and engaging with our developer community directly through tools like GitHub and Slack. We are committed to an awesome developer experience.

• Be the technical leader for design, implementation and interface decisions regarding mobile E2E solutions
• Innovate and stay updated with the latest mobile technologies.
• Guide development teams and ensure best practices.
• Communicate and collaborate with developers and architects across the global organization.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• 5+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Proven experience in mobile architecture.
• Strong knowledge of iOS/Android platforms and interest the mobile community
• Experience and knowledge in react-native.
• Define architectural standards and tools for development initiatives and design solutions taking into account scalability, availability, reliability, stability, security and performance
• Design or Modify existing solution for better performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills as the company language is English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar).

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $180,000 CDN per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
