Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

$35/hr - 2 month contract

Join our dynamic team as an Electromechanical Assembler for a minimum two-month contract, where you will play a crucial role in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of flight harnesses and avionics systems. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, organization, and familiarity with industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA STD 8739.4.

Responsibilities

• Perform soldering and assembly under microscope.
• Fabricate flight harnesses using essential tools and test equipment.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections on completed harness builds.
• Interpret wire harness schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Apply quality control methodologies and identify components for harness builds.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform job functions safely and professionally in a cleanroom environment.

Essential Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in harness fabrication.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 standards.
• Basic understanding of electronic components and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret BOMs, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficient with computers and general software tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with J-STD-001 certification is a plus.
• Skill in soldering cables, wires, soldering cups, and connectors.
• Knowledge of IPC 620 & J STD (not 610).
• Able to read blueprints and schematics on electronic devices.
• US Citizenship.
• Diploma required.
• Ability to lift 10-20lbs.

Work Environment

Work in a cleanroom environment where 80% of tasks are performed under a microscope. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with potential overtime on Fridays. Our facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness and safety, adhering to cleanroom guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
