Job Title: Clean Room Extrusion Operator ($18-23/hr.)

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Clean Room Extrusion Operator with positions available on both first and third shifts. This role involves working in a clean room environment regulated by the FDA, operating rubber extrusion machinery, and managing silicone and rubber materials. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Operate a rubber extrusion machine in an FDA-regulated clean room environment.
• Feed silicone and rubber materials into the machine according to work instructions.
• Cut products to size and prepare them for packaging.
• Perform changeovers and follow instructions for machine preparation.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Conduct quality checks and visual inspections on products.
• Document inspection results and stand at the machine for the entire shift.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of machine operator experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Willingness to work on Saturdays if required.
• Capability to follow work instructions and meet production goals.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with injection mold machines and working in clean rooms.
• Open to wearing a clean room suit, hair net, and beard net if applicable.

Work Environment

Work in a facility with 50 employees across three shifts and nine automated extrusion machines. The environment is extremely clean and temperature-controlled, with air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. Employees will wear paper gowns, tennis shoes, and adhere to strict GMP/FDA requirements, including PPE such as hairnets and beard nets. The sterile room is maintained at 68 degrees, providing a comfortable workspace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr.
