Job Description: The University of Phoenix, Inc. seeks an Sr. AI/ML Data Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to translate ambiguous business questions into specific quantitative questions, using data to resolve business planning and optimization issues. Design, coordinate, and execute pilots or proof of concepts to assess the viability and business value of new technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in data, analytics, governance, and legal to deploy data science and AI/ML solutions. Apply graduate-level thought and analysis. Derive actionable insights and recommendations to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational policies. Evaluate new data sources and analytics platforms, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with business needs. Develop and implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for machine learning models to ensure scalability. Orchestrate tools for managing machine learning workflows and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. Utilize coding skills to write queries, troubleshoot errors, and manage third-party libraries. Create infrastructure and code to contribute to the scalability and reliability of AI solutions. May telecommute from anywhere in the United States 5 days a week. Annual Salary: $115,357.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field plus 3 years of AI/MI data engineering experience in:
1. Data analytics, algorithms, machine learning frameworks, and structured/unstructured data;
2. SQL and optimizing performance of SQL statements;
3. Building and managing datasets for Generative AI use cases;
4. Cloud services, data engineering, and AI/ML lifecycle management;
5. Informatica, SSIS, SSAS, HVR, Airflow, GLUE data transformation tools;
6. SQL, Python, S3, Redshift, Tableau, Power B data analytics technologies;
7. LLMs, RAGs, Bedrock, Llama3, OpenAI, or Gemini;
8. Agile and scaled Agile work settings; and
9. AI deployment in cloud systems.
