The Associate Product Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordinating, and executing of product management activities. In this, you will utilize technical and product knowledge, channel & marketing expertise, strong cross functional relationships, develop and execute strategies, and collaborate with downstream marketing team members to grow assigned product lines. You will be tasked with new product development tasks, competitive analysis/evaluation, sales support activities, supply chain strategy execution, and product life cycle management. The Ideal candidate is highly motivated, resourceful, and capable of working autonomously and seeking to develop into a Product Management professional.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Understand key environmental factors, market trends & outlook, competitive landscape, channel dynamics and promotional opportunities.
- Develop and implement innovative plans for increased market penetration; segment/vertical positioning, and productive marketing programs.
- Cultivate a ONE Current mentality and drive commercial understanding of products and solutions throughout Marketing and with our channel partners and sales team.
- Commercialize new products with robust and consistent launch plans and support throughout market introduction, plus evaluate market effectiveness and competitive positioning post-launch
- Educate Customer and Selling Agents with Current product offerings, benefits, and advantages
- Lead the development of relevant and consistent tools and frameworks that can standardize activities such as Spec Sheets, NPI Launch windows, Brochures, Sample Kits, and other customer facing collateral.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to launch and market new products effectively.
- Manage the prioritization of marketing activities across product families to ensure consistency of material.
- Identify and articulate emerging trends, then partner with product management leaders to develop and execute competitive product marketing strategies that increase sales
- Ensure continuous gathering and reporting of competitive intelligence and market movement (NEMA, AIB, Dodge etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration or Engineering.
- 0-3+ Years of Product Management experience or experience in the industry.
- Requires high energy, assertiveness, and self-motivated individual to work in a fast-paced technical and business environment with limited direction.
- Requires strong communication and collaboration skills to be influential without having direct authority.
- Analytical and statistical data-driven skills. Must be able to develop and present new product business cases, cost/benefit analysis, economic modeling, and resourcing plans.
- Planning, problem solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Able to articulate a value proposition to a customer.
Desired Qualifications
- Business, Marketing, Product Operations, and/or Engineer Experience
- Previous Experience in LED Fixture or lamp Industry
- Individual must be creative and strategic thinker who has a passion for products, customers, and marketing.
- Working knowledge of SAP
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $60,000-$65,000.
