Sr. Construction Project Manager - Electric

Full Time Perm

Way of Work: Hybrid - 3 days in office

Salary: $110,200 - $165,300, plus 10% annual bonus

Location: Valparaiso, IN

The Sr. Construction Project Manager ensures adherence to standards to deliver safe and reliable electric service efficiently and economically. You will also oversee the planning, estimation, permitting, scheduling, budgeting, risk analysis, material procurement, land agreements, engineering services, and facilitates the preparation of electric distribution and transmission projects for the bidding process. Additionally, the Sr. Construction Project Manager will play a key role in assisting with contractor selection, monitoring field construction, overseeing in-service facilitation, and managing project close-out. In this role you will maintain open communication, both written and verbal, with peers and leadership, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Employing project integration processes to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and effectively transient the project to the customer and ensure project objective accomplishment
  • Integrating competence in the product life cycle components to the definition and management of non-product objectives (safety, cost, schedule, human resource, etc.) Expand competence in integration management to align project resources for optimal productivity. Implements product to project scope configuration management. Applies expanding interpersonal skills to lead, manage, and direct the project management team and project stakeholders.
  • Employing risk management processes to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and deliver project objectives
  • Employing cost management proficiencies to effectively estimate, budget, and control costs within project objective (success) parameters for the project
  • Employing schedule management proficiencies to effectively plan, schedule, and deliver the project within the designated project time objective (success) parameters for the project
  • Engage project stakeholders; employs effective strategies in dealing with negative stakeholders and integrate the project objectives with the composite of individual project stakeholder requirements and expectations.
  • Applies effective communication management to manage and control project stakeholders
  • Managing the project in accordance with industry best practices, the NIPSCO Organizational Process Assets, the Project Management Guidelines and Standards

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in construction project management or similar background
  • 5+ years of experience managing construction budgets of 1M+

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
