About the Role

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee a large-scale HVAC renovation project within the Newport News Public School system. This is a unique opportunity to apply your deep expertise in HVAC and general contracting in a meaningful, community-driven environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, timely, and effective completion of a project that directly supports education infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Serve as the Company's on-site representative throughout the duration of the project
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors daily to ensure project milestones are met
Open and secure the site for subcontractor access
Conduct and lead weekly subcontractor meetings to review schedules, assign tasks, and resolve issues
Collaborate with school district personnel to maintain smooth operations and clear communication
Maintain accurate records and manage correspondence via Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems and general contracting
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal (phone) and written (email)

Preferred:

Retired or semi-retired professionals looking to stay active in the industry
Prior experience managing HVAC projects in schools or public buildings

Pay Details: $69.32 per hour
