Job Overview

Express Employment is looking for detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Client in St Clements, ON . The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, quality control measures, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Position will lead to permanent and long-term employment for the right candidate!

Shift: 7am-3:30 pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy lifting (up to 150 lbs with team assistance)
• Use light power tools, including drills and rivet guns
• Assist in placing bumpers on carts (3-person team lifts)
• Basic assembly and fastening using drills and screws
• Forklift operation is an asset (not mandatory)
• Operate and monitor machinery, including press brake machines and other fabrication equipment, to produce high-quality parts.
• Conduct quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and repetitive lifting
• Previous experience with hand/power tools
• Able to follow safety procedures and work well in a team
• Forklift certification is an asset
