This role provides essential support for online course staffing, recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and online instructor support efforts. Working closely with internal teams, the coordinator ensures processes are efficient, accurate, and well-documented. Reporting to the Director of Online Instructor Success, the coordinator maintains instructor records, supports recruitment and onboarding, and fosters effective communication with online instructors and department stakeholders to enhance the online learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Documentation, Collaboration, and Reporting:
- Assist in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting discussions related to online course staffing and online instructor support.
- Maintain and update instructor and course communication plan, including onboarding materials and staffing records.
- Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation of processes and outcomes.
- Prepare and analyze reports on staffing, onboarding, and instructor engagement metrics, recommending process improvements.
- Track and update onboarding and staffing records for online instructors
Course Staffing, Recruitment, and Onboarding
- Support recruitment campaigns, assist with job postings, maintain online instructor pools, track availability and qualifications, and schedule interviews.
- Work with HR and academic units to ensure compliance and facilitate the seamless onboarding of new online instructors, including assisting with the completion of required documentation and contracts in accordance with university policies.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing adjustments in coordination with relevant teams.
- Act as a point of contact for online instructors, responding to inquiries and providing support.
Other Duties:
- Support online instructor communication, including updates, notices, and resource sharing.
- Assist with special projects related to online program development and instructor engagement.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned by the Director for Online Instructor Success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in administrative support, staffing, or related operations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with higher education processes, online education environments, or HR-related software (e.g., Learning Management System, Banner, applicant tracking systems).
- Project management experience is a plus.
Rate: $25 per hour
Hours:
- This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week. Work hours cannot exceed 25 hours per week. The work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriation.
