Job Description and Responsibilities

Join EVRAZ North America's team in Pueblo as a Sr. Warehouse Operations & Material Manager, a pivotal role ensuring seamless operations within our supply chain. This dynamic position offers the unique opportunity to spearhead material management and innovate warehouse processes, directly contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality steel solutions. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and implement strategic initiatives to support company goals.

  • Drive a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement across all warehouse functions
  • Lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving P&L performance, optimizing warehouse operations, and reducing costs
  • Define and implement long-term warehousing strategies, including space optimization and facility planning
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, finance, engineering) to align goals and ensure business continuity
  • Oversee all warehousing activities, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping
  • Manage physical improvements to warehouse capacity and existing space to ensure optimal parts storage
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment
  • Implement effective inventory control systems and processes to ensure accuracy and availability
  • Collaborate with internal departments (purchasing, maintenance, production, operations) to coordinate spare parts management and materials flow
  • Monitor inventory levels and control material usage to meet operational demands while managing costs
  • Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Recruit, train, manage, and develop warehouse personnel to meet operational goals
  • Enhance training programs and ensure team readiness for future growth and system changes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging data analytics, WMS functionality, and network resources
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, applicable Collective Bargaining agreements and industry best practices
  • Engage stakeholders and communicate performance updates, challenges, and successes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; 10–15 years of warehouse and materials management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in fast-paced, high-volume operations
  • Technologically fluent; experience with WMS systems, Oracle and strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; able to engage at all organizational levels
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to drive cost-effective operational decisions

Salary

$118,000 - $130,000 annually
