Job Title: Software Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a Software Architect to design and architect software systems, focusing on cloud platforms and mobile ecosystems. This role involves communicating effectively with vendors, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless integration of system components. The ideal candidate will produce high-level designs and documentation, while also coding 20-30% of the time to prototype and refine architectural visions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect software systems with a focus on high-level design and requirement decomposition.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure all system components integrate seamlessly and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  • Produce detailed documentation and speak clearly on technical topics.
  • Perform coding tasks to prototype and make necessary adjustments to architectural designs.
  • Serve as the R&D technical representative for technical reviews.
  • Contribute to requirement writing as needed, bringing value through relevant skill sets.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Software Architecture Design.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and mobile ecosystems.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, C, and C#.
  • Expertise in C# .NET, particularly in threading and debugging for prototyping.
  • Ability to optimize and design software systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Firmware experience is a nice-to-have.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • For Software Architect, 14 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12 years with a Master's degree.
  • For Software Architect, 14 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12 years with a Master's degree.

Work Environment

The position is based in Houston, Texas, supporting OSP and Neuromodulation projects. The role involves working closely with medical device and computer science teams, ensuring a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $215000.00/yr.
