Job Description:
Provide competent, age specific health care to women and children in the Regional Women’s Services and Pediatrics (RWSP) healthcare program and in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics and serve as a Regional Director within RWSP.
The Regional Director is an advanced practice provider (APP) leader that will support the RWSP program as one of three regional leaders. This role will directly report to the Senior Clinical & Administrative Director for the RWSP with medical oversight also provided by the RSWP Pediatric and OB/GYN Medical Directors.
This APP leader will split their time between direct patient care provision as an APP in Women’s and/or Pediatrics within the RWSP clinics and as an administrative operational leader for several clinics/programs within a given service area. This leader and provider may work at one or more sites and regularly travel. A regular in-person on-site presence to their clinics expected.
Direct reports will include women’s and pediatric advanced practice providers, clinic business managers, clinical and business supervisors, nurses, medical assistants, sonographers, as well as various additional clinical and business support staff.
The Regional Director is a senior business and clinical leader within the RWSP program who functions within the RWSP Administrative Leadership team and also partners closely with the RWSP Medical Directors to:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
As a care provider, provide primary health care to the patient and family throughout the course of care. Use the processes of assessment, diagnosis, management, and evaluation to provide care that integrates the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient and family. Establish a therapeutic relationship with the client and family. Plan, develop, coordinate, and provide appropriate health education and counseling in response to patient needs. Contribute to the advancement of the profession, seek to ensure high quality care within the RWSP, and demonstrate leadership skills in achieving improved outcomes for all clients and their families. Responsible for the health care provided and will utilize age specific developmental principles when providing care. Serve as a clinical expert to support and develop the team.
As an administrative leader, the Regional Director will assume administrative responsibilities to include:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s in Nursing or Master’s in Physician Assistant studies
Licensed in the State of Texas with Board Certification as WHNP, FNP, PNP, or PA.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years advanced practice experience in Women’s Care, Obstetrics, Antepartum, Postpartum care, Dysplasia and/or Pediatrics in either inpatient or ambulatory setting. Will also need to have 2+ years of experience in a formal leadership role.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
