Role Overview:

The Training Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving training revenue growth and adoption across new and existing accounts. This strategic position embeds training solutions into the sales cycle and ensures customer success through comprehensive skills development programs. The role drives growth in student enrolment and certification completion through training programs and eLearning solutions. This position focuses on developing and executing strategies to expand the training business, working closely with sales teams, customer success managers, partner teams, and key stakeholders to identify and capitalize on training opportunities across our global customer base.

(Role Location) This position will be based in our Herndon, co-located with Sales and CS teams. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the office for the remaining days of the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive overall training revenue growth through strategic initiatives
  • Partner with Sales and Solution Consultants to integrate training into early deal discussions and influence package structuring
  • Increase training attach rates through strategic sales enablement and value messaging
  • Collaborate with Customer Success teams to develop and execute comprehensive training plans
  • Proactively identify and activate training opportunities within existing accounts
  • Create and implement training value frameworks aligned with customer health metrics
  • Champion certification programs and skills tracking across strategic accounts
  • Track and report on key metrics including attach rates and training-influenced revenue
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow training revenue and market presence
  • Identify new market opportunities and create compelling training solutions
  • Collaborate with product teams to align training offerings with product roadmaps
  • Create business cases for new training initiatives

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in training/education
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software and technical training landscape
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong experience in solution selling and value-based conversations
  • Excellence in stakeholder management across Sales, CS, and Support functions
  • Demonstrated ability to influence deal structures and pricing strategies
  • Deep understanding of enterprise customer success and adoption metrics

Desired Expertise:

  • Experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, or compliance industries
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and certification programs
  • Track record of developing successful training partnerships
