Position Summary:

Coordinates and directs alignment of business objectives with employees and senior management in designated business unit(s). Consults with senior leadership team on human resource-related issues and recommends new HR strategies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as the business partner and confident to the Business Unit President, develop deep relationships at all levels and leverage those engagements to better understand and continuously enhance the culture and quality of work across the organization.
  • Evaluates and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates needs with the HR Department and business management.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, addresses grievances, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance, partners with the Legal Department when necessary.
  • Provides performance management guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Works with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, and monitors and reports on workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individuals, participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Excellent leadership capabilities
  • International experience

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related area
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of HR experience in a leadership role
  • Previous experience as an HR business partner preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Office Environment
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
