As a Software Engineer III - UI Developer + React at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Markets Technology Team, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement user interface components for web applications.
  • Collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure technical feasibility of designs.
  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes clearly to stakeholders.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to improve the user experience.
  • Adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks as required by project demands.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Proven experience as a UI Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation).
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong understanding of web standards and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to articulate design concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with any knowledge on public cloud with certification is a plus
