As a Software Engineer III - UI Developer + React at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Markets Technology Team, you'll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement user interface components for web applications.
- Collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers and developers to ensure technical feasibility of designs.
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes clearly to stakeholders.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Stay updated with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to improve the user experience.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks as required by project demands.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Proven experience as a UI Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation).
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of web standards and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to articulate design concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with any knowledge on public cloud with certification is a plus
