Amazon Ads is seeking a leader to define, build, and execute the roadmap for launching new ad programs for Amazon Retail Ad Service. This service enables retailers to launch and scale their own ads business using Amazon’s proven ad-technology and advertisers to reach and connect with shoppers across retailers. We are seeking a Technical Product Leader to lead and grow new ad programs for retailers that drive scale and monetization for retailers and performance against a range of marketing objectives for brands. In this role, you will drive the roadmap for a large advertising business. You will spearhead the definition of new capabilities through product and business requirements documents and coordinate complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features. You are at your core a builder. You must have a high level of comfort with ambiguity, a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges, and ability to effectively influence across organizations. You work backwards from customer needs, dive deep into data to understand the opportunities and issues, and drive product development to deliver those needs by working with cross-functional teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities and write new proposals to help us drive growth for retailers and advertisers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on fast-paced, challenging projects, experiment with new possibilities, and take calculated risks.
  • Define, present, and align long-term vision and strategy to leadership.
  • Define and create new customer experiences across customer surfaces (e.g, API and Console products).
  • Develop product strategies, roadmaps, and detailed requirements to execute your vision.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, operations, legal, finance, customer service, sales, and executive teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Leverage your analytical skills and work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Throughout, you will internalize Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and apply into everyday practice to guide your programs to success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience technical product management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience in ad-tech domain, industry background
  • Experience in building and scaling ad-tech products (especially zero to one products)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
