POSITION SUMMARY

The Learning Technology Specialist enhances the digital learning experience within Health First’s Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). The Learning Technology Specialist will focus on implementing, managing, and supporting learning technologies, ensuring seamless integration with instructional design and training initiatives. The Learning Technology Specialist collaborates with leadership and stakeholders across the IDN to develop engaging, accessible, and effective learning solutions that align with Health First mission and vision

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Develops interactive and multimedia-rich learning content in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Creates engaging digital learning experiences using authoring tools such as Evolve, Camtasia, or similar software.
  • Evaluates and implements new learning technologies that enhance online, blended, and in-person training programs.
  • Provides technical support, training, and documentation to faculty, staff, and learners on various educational technologies.
  • Generates and analyzes learning data to assess the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
  • Ensures digital learning content and platforms comply with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA) and industry best practices.
  • Partners closely with key stakeholders to align learning technologies with business goals.
  • Tests, recommends, and implements Learning Management System (LMS) updates, plugins, and integrations to improve system functionality.
  • Stays abreast on emerging learning technologies, trends, and best practices to drive
  • Supports on the development of instructional videos, and other multimedia assets for digital learning.
  • Collaborates with third-party vendors and service lines across the IDN to ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of learning technologies.
  • Maintains compliance with data privacy regulations, ensuring the security and confidentiality of learner data.

Work Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Work Experience: One (1) year of experience working in Exceed LMS or a similarly complex Learning Management System.
  • Licensure: None
  • Certification: None
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
    1. Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Evolve, Camtasia).
    2. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and multimedia development.
    3. Familiarity with accessibility standards and compliance regulations.
    4. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
  • Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
  • May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
