Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that essential medical supplies reach the hands of healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for pulling orders from the hospital's basement, stocking products such as gloves, needles, surgical supplies, and personal protective equipment, and ensuring that inventory levels are maintained. Your duties will also include hand-delivering supplies to various hospital departments, placing materials in designated storage areas, and occasionally assembling certain parts.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders of medical supplies for doctors, nurses, and technicians.
• Ensure warehouse inventory is fully stocked and replenish as needed.
• Deliver supplies to hospital departments including ER and surgical rooms.
• Organize materials on racks, shelves, bins, and refrigerated rooms.
• Assist in assembling parts when required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management and order picking.
• Experience using RF scanners.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Comfortable using computers for data input through EPIC.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a team environment with 20+ employees.
• Capable of standing for the entire shift (8+ hours).

Work Environment

You will work throughout the hospital, primarily picking orders in the basement and on the dock where trailers are unloaded. Interaction with hospital staff and possibly patients is expected. The role requires wearing a scrub top and appropriate PPE in specific areas. Initial training is Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm, transitioning to a Tuesday to Saturday schedule. Flexibility is essential as the job must be completed before leaving.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
