Job Description

As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production of aircraft and airport equipment. You will be involved in assembling plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles, cargo loading systems, airport gate equipment, and military equipment. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and assemble mechanical and electrical equipment using a variety of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work in one of three departments: Loader, Deicer, and Traitor, with the potential for cross-training across all departments.
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical equipment using hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, files, grinders, nuts, bolts, washers, and screws.
  • Make electrical connections using pre-fabricated harnesses, cutters, wire strippers, and crimping tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Self-audit and inspect assembled work using drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools effectively.
  • Required electrical experience (excluding IPC/small soldering).

Work Environment and Shift

This role is situated in a large industrial manufacturing environment that is air-conditioned.

However, you may occasionally need to go outside to the yard for materials, which is not air-conditioned.

Monday - Friday

5AM - 3:30PM

Must be open to overtime Fridays

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
