CTG is seeking to fill a Site Reliability Engineer II opening for our client in Overland Park, KS.

Location: Overland Park, KS

Duration: 5 months

Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure systems to support critical applications and services.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance system performance, availability, and reliability.
• Participate in incident response, post-mortems, and root cause analysis to improve system resiliency.
• Improve deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines for increased automation and faster delivery.
• Ensure system and service security, compliance, and capacity planning.
• Maintain documentation for systems and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience supporting high-availability, high-performance systems in production environments.
• Proven track record of implementing automation to improve system reliability and developer productivity.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
