Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining the CNC Press Brake for precision sheet metal forming. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to organize work activities efficiently, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Program, operate, and maintain CNC Press Brake for precision sheet metal forming.
  • Plan and organize work activities in logical manufacturing order.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layouts.
  • Alter product dimensions to meet application demands under supervisory guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineering personnel to address discrepancies or suggest improvements.
  • Familiarity with standard drill and tap sizes; experience with tapping arms is a plus.
  • Learn and operate a hydraulic sheet metal roller for creating cylindrical and conical goods.
  • Engage in HVLP conventional industrial paint systems: prepare materials, mix paint, apply primer/paint, and maintain equipment.
  • Use angle grinders for grinding, deburring, and cutting activities.
  • Operate hand drills, magnetic drills, and small drill press machines for drilling, reaming, and countersinking holes.
  • Utilize shears and iron workers.
  • Handle materials, unload trucks, and place products in their designated locations.
  • Perform routine machine and plant maintenance.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lifting devices.
  • Use horizontal and vertical band saws.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs as required.
  • Comply with all company safety and personnel policies.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing facility with 30 employees on the floor and 5 in the machining department. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. The facility is equipped with forklifts, overhead cranes, and other work lifting devices, ensuring a robust and safe environment for all tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bangor, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
