Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and execution-focused Senior Director to lead a team of Product Owners supporting a broad and evolving product portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, backlog discipline, and agile delivery maturity across teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a proven ability to coach teams, enforce best practices, and drive high-quality execution across complex initiatives.

This role does not oversee Product Managers but works in close partnership with them to align delivery to strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Oversight:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Owners across multiple product teams and workstreams.
  • Ensure alignment and consistency across backlogs, user story quality, and delivery practices.
  • Maintain a strong pulse on delivery progress, blockers, and inter-team dependencies to support the continuous flow of value.

Operational Excellence & Discipline:

  • Establish and scale repeatable practices and tools for backlog grooming, prioritization, sprint planning, and release readiness.
  • Drive accountability across teams for clearly defined requirements, acceptance criteria, and value-driven delivery.
  • Build frameworks and dashboards to monitor backlog health, team velocity, and delivery risks at the portfolio level.

Agile & Scrum Coaching:

  • Serve as a mentor and coach to Product Owners and delivery teams in Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate the adoption and evolution of Agile maturity, including backlog refinement, sprint cadences, demo planning, and retrospectives.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the delivery liaison between Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure execution is aligned with strategic vision.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, UX, Program Management, and Business stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve issues early.
  • Ensure clear communication around backlog priorities, team capacity, and feature readiness.

Portfolio-Level Visibility & Governance

  • Provide senior leadership with visibility into delivery status, risks, and metrics across the product portfolio.
  • Champion delivery predictability, team health, and measurable outcomes that align with business goals
  • And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.)
  • 10+ years of experience in product delivery roles, including Product Owner or related leadership.
  • 5+ years managing or coaching Product Owners within a scaled Agile environment.
  • Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and methodologies; SAFe experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain high delivery standards, operational rigor, and process consistency.
  • Strong track record in backlog management, agile ceremonies, and iterative delivery.
  • Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments with globally distributed, remote teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and leadership presence.

Additional Details

  • Background Check: The successful candidate will need to successfully complete the following clearances: Criminal History Check, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Driver’s License Verification and passport/ID validation.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in the United States or Canada (depending on where the successful candidate is currently located) is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position. The successful candidate will be required to ensure they maintain and renew any visas or permits that grant employment eligibility where applicable.
