Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor in Behavioral Science. The primary responsibilities of the individual in this Research Title Series position will be to execute the duties of principal investigator on a federally-funded research project/career development award and to collaborate on related research projects with UK students, staff and faculty. This will include (but not limited to) preparing, maintaining, and overseeing research protocols in compliance with both UK and federally mandated regulations for NIH funded projects. Responsibilities will also include training personnel on experimental design, procedures, and interpretation of data, as well as maintaining standard operating procedures. Front-line data collection duties may also be required.

The individual in this position is expected to write and submit grant proposals to seek intramural and/or extramural funding. Manuscript development and conference submissions are also expected. The individual is also expected to contribute to collaborating faculty grant proposals/submissions as appropriate. No regularly scheduled teaching activities will be assigned.
