Job Description:
UAlbany EOP seeks to hire an Operations Manager dedicated to elevating our communication, data collection, and programming methods to align with best practices for student success.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operations Management
- Collaborate with colleagues in Academic Innovation and Student Success (AISS) and Institutional Research, Planning and Effectiveness (IRPE) to prepare data for reports to SUNY and AISS leadership (e.g., enrollment, academic achievement)
- Prepare visual representations of data for inclusion in reports and grant applications
- Prepare donor reports for EOP director
- Conduct a daily data analysis of EOP application process and completion rate
- Create and update form and workflow processes in JotForm to support unit-wide activities
- Recruitment & Outreach
- Oversee the EOP strand of the 2025 recruitment cycle, including:
- Coordinate all tours with New York State High Schools
- Train work study students for tour roles and responsibilities
- Monitor financial aid reviews to support outreach and recruitment
- Manage Summer EOP App(s) - develop a tickler with information about the summer program (FAQ, dates, etc.) and then convert to the onboarding phase
- Assist with preparations for recruitment events, including Accepted Student Open House and Fall Preview Days
- Unit Administration
- Create Standard Operating Procedures for EOP Summer Program & Academic Year activities
- Oversee management of the Emergency Loan (EL) process and workbook
- Track reimbursement requests submitted on behalf of the EOP director and other unit staff
- Maintain EOP website
- Manage complex email inquiries and other departmental communications
- App Development
- Design, develop, and maintain apps to streamline processes for EOP students and staff and improve data collection.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned

- Reports to Educational Opportunity Program Director
- May supervise employees as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated interest in and understanding of the current higher education landscape.
- Willingness and ability to take initiative as appropriate.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to be highly organized, to prioritize effectively, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Project management experience that demonstrates the ability to develop programs from idea to launch.
- Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with platforms such as Jotform, EAB Navigate, Peoplesoft, and/or degree audit software.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- At least 2 years of experience in an education environment.

Professional Rank and Salary Grade: SL-3, Senior Staff Assistant, biweekly rate of $1,315.25-$1,380.82
